Simple Grilled Patty Pan Squash




It is the time of year for grilled vegetables, whether home grown or from the farmers market they are certainly an improvement over those in the grocery store. Zucchini, yellow, and patty pan squash each have a distinctive flavor and are ideal for grilling.


Patty Pan squash

Olive oil for brushing

Creole Seasoned Salt to taste

Fresh ground black pepper to taste





Remove a slice from the stem and blossom ends of each squash and cut horizontally into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Prepare the grill for hot direct cooking. Brush both sides of the squash with oil and season. Grill directly over the fire for 4 minutes per side or until softened.
