Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Asian Glaze

Pork goes well with Asian seasonings, especially sweet ones. The tenderloin is the most tender cut of pork and has excellent flavor.

1 pork tenderloin

Canola oil for brushing

Salt to taste

Fresh ground pepper to taste

Prepare the Asian Glaze (recipe follows). Brush the meat with oil and season. Prepare the grill for medium hot cooking. Grill the meat for 4 minutes per side, then begin basting every time it is turned (every 4 minutes). Cook until done medium, approximately 16 minutes toral.

Since the meat was seared prior to the start of basting, it is safe to baste with additional glaze after the meat is plated.

Asian Glaze

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoon Hoisin sauce

1 1/2 teaspoons sweet chili sauce

2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger

Pinch red pepper flakes

Combine all ingredients and thoroughly mix. Let stand for a while and stir again, the sugar is slow to dissolve. Make sure all sugar is dissolved before using.
